The Hive Darlington

I’ve started trail walks and this cafe was a delightful find after a walk along Helena Valley hike. I had the unassuming Turkish eggs and was soooo pleasantly surprised by the pillowy Turkish bread the beautifully spiced lamb kebab and hummus and eggs. We finished everything off our plates - delicious fresh colourful and an absolute surprise! 10/10

Lovely little place in the hills, but possibly victims of their own popularity. A long wait for food and at 1pm, when they close at 2pm, they were essentially trying to chase people out of there with warnings of long did waits - although no question it is much better to be warned of the wait than not. My Eggs Benedict was very yummy but I do not get why they have to pile everything on too of one another. I had to dissect out my two pieces of toast from where they had "artistically" been piled on top of each other.

I have been here several times during a walk on the heritage trail, the homemade very lemony curd slice with the berries and cream is one the most delicious sweets I experienced in quite a while 10/10. Coffee and service is always great. My client with a disability had a wonderful experience and loved his homemade sausage roll.

Had an amazing lunch sitting outside with the dog. Atmosphere was amazing. Service very good and very friendly.... and... they open on a Monday. Haloumi stack with bacon and side of amazing chips. Very good coffee to finish up.. Must support this hidden gem

Best Granola so far, presentation, flavours and decent amount of food . Coffee was very nice too. It could be my local coffee place to go if I would live here. Would recommend to drop in and enjoy a great experience especially if you are bike packing along the heritage rail trail nice little detour off the trail, just up the road.

Best coffee ever, beautifully made by a skilled barista. Thai beef salad was scrumptious. My pooch very welcomed also. The young guy serving went to great lengths to make sure we enjoyed our time at cafe. Highly recommend.

Beautiful barista coffee, amazing GF sandwiches and big breakfasts, indulgent desserts, incredible, inviting, authentic charm and service. We have been in Darlington over 40 yrs and have never been so lucky as to have such an outlet so close at hand. Thank you to Jana and the team, we love and appreciate you all!! Please stay forever

i had the pleasure of trying the French toast at The Hive Cafe in Darlington, and it was an absolute treat! The toast was perfectly golden and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Topped with fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup, each bite was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The cafe's cozy ambiance made it an even more enjoyable experience, and the friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere.
